The RES-Wheat project continued to strengthen its visibility and outreach through participation in several major agricultural events across Europe during May 2026.

The project coordination team, led by Valentina Španić from the Agricultural Institute Osijek, presented RES-Wheat at the 4th International Wheat Congress in Bologna, Italy (25–29 May 2026), which gathered more than 700 experts from the global wheat sector. The project was showcased through a scientific poster highlighting initial research results on biostimulant application and genetic resistance in wheat—key components of developing more sustainable and resilient wheat production systems.

RES-Wheat was also promoted at the traditional Wheat and Barley Field Day held at the Agricultural Institute Osijek on 26 May 2026. With over 500 farmers, researchers, industry representatives, and other stakeholders in attendance, the event provided an excellent opportunity to present the project’s objectives, activities, and expected benefits for the agricultural sector.

In Serbia, project partners introduced RES-Wheat at the 93rd International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad (16–21 May 2026), one of the most important agricultural exhibitions in Southeast Europe. The fair enabled direct engagement with farmers, researchers, advisors, and industry representatives, while promoting the project’s efforts to improve wheat resilience, reduce dependence on chemical inputs, and support sustainable crop production in the Croatia–Serbia cross-border region.

Participation in these events significantly increased the visibility of the RES-Wheat project, strengthened cooperation with key stakeholders, and raised awareness of innovative solutions for sustainable wheat production.
