How rainwater can become a resource for cities – one of the answers to this question was provided by Milica Vasić, a PhD student at UNSPMF and a member of the INTERCLIM project.
At one of the INTERCLIM workshops, innovative solutions for preserving drinking water and better managing water in cities in general were presented, as one of the solutions for adapting to climate change. Milica tells us about examples of good practice that are changing the way we think about water in urban environments.
INTERCLIM project
Overall objective: Increase adaptation capacities in modified climate conditions in the cities of the region (caused by climate change) by implementing green infrastructure systems as a nature-based solution in urban areas of Novi Sad and Osijek, and strengthen adaptability and resilience of economy and citizens in the cross-border region to climate hazards by creating and maintaining interactive online climate/environment platform with a toolkit for ‘climate change adaptation and weather hazards resilience’.
