Public Health Campaign Held in Županja Dedicated to Breast Cancer Prevention

As part of the European project CALL4HER, Health Center Županja held a promotional public health campaign today at Županja Town Square, dedicated to breast cancer prevention.

An informational booth was set up where citizens could pick up educational and promotional materials and learn about the importance of breast self-examinations, as well as regular and preventive breast screenings.

Thanks to this project, and in collaboration with project partners Health Center Apatin and General County Hospital Vinkovci, Health Center Županja recently acquired valuable medical equipment: a 3D digital mammograph. This advanced technology enables more precise diagnostic results, especially for women with denser breast tissue. It helps reduce the number of false positives and false negatives and allows for early detection of breast cancer.

The campaign was successfully executed — the informational booth in Županja’s Town Square fostered direct interaction with citizens and significantly raised awareness about the importance of breast self-examinations and regular screenings.
