On January 28 2025, the second capacity building workshop was held in the Municipality Ernestinovo as part of project activity of the INNATUS project.

The workshop had two working units, a workshop entitled “Workshop on Digitalization and Creative Industries in the Service of Smart Tourist Destinations” and in the second part, the participants were divided into working groups for a workshop on the development of a Strategic Digital Tourism Plan.

The aim of the activity was to improve the competencies, skills and knowledge of project team members and stakeholders within the NATUS network, empowering them to effectively contribute to the project and its sustainability.

This workshop highlighted the role of digitalization and creative industries in creating smart tourist destinations. Participants learned more about the potential of digital technologies to improve visitor experience, support destination marketing and facilitate effective tourism management. They also explored the intersection of tourism and creative industries through examples, focusing on the role of naive art in shaping innovative, attractive and smart tourist destinations. Special focus was placed on the use of VR technologies.

Through a series of interactive and participatory learning methods, the exchange of knowledge was facilitated for participants, and presentations and a Strategic Plan for Digital Tourism using smart technologies and AI were created at the workshop.
