About

According to partners of the GReENERGY project, increased energy consumption and insufficient energy efficiency of public buildings, insufficient usage of renewable energy and lack of knowledge regarding these topics is a common case in the cross-border area. GReENERGY deals with these challenges with plans to improve energy efficiency and decrease energy consumption of selected public buildings in Osijek and Novi Sad. In particular, partners from Novi Sad and Osijek will install green roofs, green walls and solar panels on schools. In this way, partners plan to use renewable energy for basic needs and generate additional 213 kW of renewable energy. As for the partnership, improving energy efficiency must be followed with education: GReENERGY will target pupils and students, local and regional authorities and citizens of Novi Sad and Osijek with a campaign dedicated to raise awareness on renewable energy sources and their importance for sustainable development.
