4th workshop within project GReENERGY held in Novi Sad

The 4th workshop for stakeholders within the project GReENERGY ( Greening the cities – Development, and promotion of energy efficiency and sustainable urban environment in the cities of Croatia-Serbia cross-border region) was held in Novi Sad on 25 May 2021.

Workshop was focused on presentation of the main results and the importance of improving the urban environment. Speakers on the workshop were from the University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Sciences which is the Lead Partner of the project. Furthermore, the general focus was to present the importance and benefits of the implementation of renewable energy and green infrastructures for urban metabolism.

Dr. Stevan Savić presented the main outcomes that were reached in Novi Sad (Serbia) and Osijek (Croatia). He presented the installed solar panels of 213 kW of power and green infrastructures on both objects. He also presented the next steps and activities until the end of the project.

Dr. Jelena Dunjić presented the importance of implementing the green energy, i.e. solar panels in an urban environment and on public objects in order to improve energy efficiency.

Dr. Dragan Milošević presented the benefits of green roofs and walls as one of the microclimate modifiers, while Dr. Ivan Šećerov presented the technical and methodological concepts of urban monitoring with a focus on climate issues monitoring.

In order to respect the epidemiological measures, 32 people attended the workshop live. 

Next workshop for stakeholders is expected to be organized in September 2021 in Novi Sad.
