Within the project RESCUE – “Renewable Energy Sources for smart sustainable health Centers, University Education and other public buildings” an educational workshop was held on 29 November 2021 at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology Osijek.
The aim of the workshop, which was attended by 73 participants, was to promote renewable energy sources for the sustainability of public buildings with a high share of renewable sources of energy. All attendees were greeted by project coordinator Prof. Damir Šljivac, PhD and the Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technologies Osijek, Prof. Tomislav Matić, PhD.
Damir Šljivac, Matej Žnidarec, Denis Pelin and Mario Primorac presented advanced energy management systems of the micro-network of the Faculty and Osijek hospital public buildings (BEMS), and Dario Došen briefly presented a smart electric bike-sharing system.
Bane Popadić from the Faculty of Technical Sciences Novi Sad, Serbia, presented the energy management strategies in public facilities on the Faculty of Technical Sciences with a high degree of energy independence as well as the integration of modern renewable energy systems in advanced BEMS at the Clinical Center of Vojvodina.
Matej Đuranović from the University of Slavonski Brod presented thermotechnical systems with a heat pump and solar collectors at the University of Slavonski Brod.
All participants attended a demonstration of the Faculty renewable energy sources laboratory and the main building smart microgrid developed within the RESCUE project.
