First Open Forum of the Wetland Restore – Restoration of Wetlands in Middle Danube project was held on 21 October 2021 at the Eco Centre Zlatna Greda.
Examples of good practice in the field of restoration and management of wetland ecosystems of the Middle Danube were presented to the participants.
The aim of the Open forums is to present the implemented activities and achieved project results, as well as to communicate with target groups and relevant stakeholders in order to raise awareness and knowledge and get feedback through comments and opinions of participants.
In total 200 participants took part in the first Open Forum at the Zlatna Greda Eco Center.
Examples of the restoration of Čarna pilot area with photographic and cartographic representations are presented, as well as through walk by the restored area. Participants were also introduced to the indicator species of the Middle Danube, and species recorded by the research and conservation status assessment.
