Project partners on the project Together We Stand organized a two-day event entitled Joint Exercise Danube 2021 on the 14 and 15 October 2021 in Batina, Croatia. On the first day of the event, members of the emergency services of Osijek – Baranja County, Croatia, and JVP vode Vojvodine, Serbia united forces to successfully perform the joint exercise. One of the goals of the exercise was to check the readiness and speed of activation of members of the operational forces of the civil protection system in the event of an emergency, as well as the presentation of equipment procured within the project. Join Exercise Danube 2021 included 115 members of the emergency and civil protection system from Croatia and Serbia. Among the other visitors, the students of the Elementary school in Batina attended the event, and they were really happy to see all the different vehicles and members of the emergency services in action.
On the second day, project partners marked the Civil Protection Day by presenting equipment, with lectures, and held a round table on the topic of the protection system in Croatia and Serbia. Two lecturers from Croatia and two from Serbia presented topics of Floods and Accidents with hazardous materials, as well as the topic of creating new open procedures on how to act in a case of emergency. The event was visited by representatives from the civil protection sector and emergency services.
