The NET4DINAR project – New Emerging Technologies for Digitalized Innovative Agricultural Research – was successfully concluded with final workshops held in December 2025 in Osijek and Novi Sad.
The final workshops took place on 10th December 2025 at the Agricultural Institute Osijek and on 3rd December 2025 at the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad. Both events were organized within the Interreg VI-A IPA Croatia–Serbia Programme, co-funded by the European Union.
The workshops presented the key project results and innovative technological solutions for modernizing plant breeding under climate change conditions. Special emphasis was placed on AI-based early yield prediction and stress detection in wheat, as well as on automated extraction of phenotypic traits from digital images.
Presentations were delivered by Dr. Dario Novoselović, Dr. Milan Mirosavljević, and Dr. Marko Panić. A major project achievement was the establishment of a cross-border multilocation field trial network, enabling harmonized genotype evaluation across diverse environments, along with the introduction of speed breeding approaches to accelerate selection.
The events confirmed that project partners now possess harmonized research capacities, advanced digital tools and modern infrastructure, providing a strong foundation for the further development of digital and climate-smart plant breeding.
