As part of the Interreg VI-A IPA Croatia–Serbia Programme – CALL4HER project, the Health Center of Vukovar-Srijem County, as the lead partner, organized a lecture on the prevention, early detection, and treatment of breast cancer on 12 June 2026.

The event gathered approximately 30 participants who followed with great interest the presentations delivered by medical specialists and a psychologist. The lecture emphasized the importance of regular preventive screenings, timely recognition of symptoms, modern treatment options for breast cancer, and the essential role of psychological support for patients.

As part of the project, a professional workshop for healthcare workers was also held at the Health Center of Vukovar-Srijem County – Županja Branch, within the Specialized X‑ray Diagnostics and Ultrasound Unit. During the workshop, physicians exchanged professional knowledge and experience, discussed best practices, and strengthened their competencies in the diagnostics and treatment of breast diseases through practical clinical work with patients.

These activities significantly contribute to enhancing cross-border cooperation and improving the quality of healthcare services. They also play an important role in raising awareness of the importance of breast cancer prevention and early detection, which remain key factors in achieving better health outcomes.
