Territorial and socio-economic analysis approved at the 4th Programming Task Force meeting

The fourth Programming Task Force meeting was held virtually on 31 March 2021, with more than 30 participants from Croatia and Serbia.

The meeting was organised in order to inform Programming Task Force members about novelties on policies and programming in the new financial perspective 2021-2027. The Managing Authority informed the PTF members that political agreement with the European Parliament was reached on regulations for the 2021-2027 programming period, which set five policy objectives and two additional specific objectives for Interreg Programmes. PTF members were also informed that the IPA Programming Framework is expected to be adopted in October, marking the deadline of nine months for the submission of new Interreg Programme to the European Commission.

Furthermore, another important objective of the meeting was the presentation and discussion on the results of the Territorial and socio-economic analysis of the programme area. External experts presented the methodology used in the analysis, results of the consultations with stakeholders, detailed analysis per each policy objective and Interreg specific objective, as well as conclusions and recommendations of the conducted Territorial and socio-economic analysis.
Programming Task Force members approved the Territorial and socio-economic analysis of the programme area and concluded that final decision on proposed policy objectives should be made after public consultations.
