Project RESCUE – with electric bicycles from Osijek to Novi Sad

In order to promote project “Renewable Energy Sources for smart sustainable health Centers, University Education and other public buildings – RESCUE”, on 8 September 2021 a four-member team (Prof Damir Šljivac, Prof Denis Pelin, Dario Došen and Mario Primorac supported by Matej Žnidarec and Tihana Vajnand by car) from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computing and Information Technology (FERIT) set off from Osijek to Novi Sad with electric bicycles purchased for promotion of the project.

Novi Sad was chosen as a destination because the lead partner of the project is the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad and the RESCUE project was presented as part of the conference on electric vehicles “EV days” (Electric & Hybrid Technology), which was held on 9 and 10 September.

It takes approximately five hours to travel from Osijek to Novi Sad by electric bicycle, which travels at an average speed of 25 kilometers per hour. The project team of Osijek’s FERIT set out on such a path with the aim of promoting the project of renewable energy sources.
