In July 2021 Inclusive Growth Network lunched the Inclusive Growth Postcards campaign – the aim is to showcase the best social impact projects in the following themes: Ageing, Health, Employment and Youth. Furthermore, the purpose of the postcards is to highlight that Interreg effectively tackles real social issues within regions cooperating in Interreg projects.
We are happy to inform you that among 46 selected projects is the project ReGerNet (Theme: Ageing) co-financed within Interreg IPA CBC Programme Croatia-Serbia 2014-2020.
Project partners of the project ReGerNet recognized great problem of the cross-border area in terms of demographic structure, first of all increased ageing and insufficient non-institutional social welfare services which resulted in the joint effort to improve the quality of social, gerontological and geriatric care by expanding the community-based services. The main activities of the project were directed towards training of the caregivers by establishing Regional Academy for caregivers training to overcame shortage of qualified service providers and expanding the community-based services by opening gerontology clubs.
