Presentation of the telemedicine system held within project Heart Net

Due to specific conditions related to the Covid 19 pandemic, the Institute for Cardiovascular Diseases Vojvodina, as a Lead partner, held a conference on the Heart Net project.

The conference was opened with a welcome speech by dr. Ilija Srdnović, project manager. Then dr. Aleksandar Redžek, Director of the Institute for Cardiovascular Diseases Vojvodina, greeted all participants and wished a successful conference. On behalf of the project partner National Memorial Hospital Vukovar all participants were greeted by dr. Vesna Bosanac, dr. Ivanka Mihajlović and Ms. Ivana Azenić Dubravčić.

Over 60 participants from the Republic of Croatia (Vukovar, Zagreb and Opatija), Republic of Serbia (Belgrade, Novi Sad, Kragujevac, Niš, Leskovac, Subotica, Sombor), Bosnia and Herzegovina (Sarajevo, Banja Luka), and from Montenegro (Podgorica) participated in a very interactive and educational online conference.

During the the conference, telemedicine system installed in the General Hospitals of Subotica and Sremska Mitrovica was publicly presented for the first time. The telemedicine system, together with the appropriate equipment, was procured and put into operation as part of the Heart Net project. All participants agreed that the presented system is a major advance in the field of medicine important for the entire cross-border area.
