6 new projects contracted within the 3rd (Restricted) Call for submission of concept notes

Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds of the Republic of Croatia, acting as the Managing Authority of Interreg IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Croatia – Serbia 2014-2020 is pleased to inform you that within 3rd (Restricted) Call for submission of concept notes 6 projects are contracted. Projects will capitalize and further maximize the effectiveness of outputs and results of projects that have been supported within 1st and/or 2nd Call for Proposals.

Total allocation for the 3rd (Restricted) Call is EUR 970.000,00.

The implementation period of the projects is nine months. They start with the implementation on 1 February 2023 and will be implemented by 31 October 2023.

Please find the information on the contracted projects below:

PA1
Project MOS – Cross 3 aims to maximise results achieved by MOS-Cross project and improve the quality of public health services and skills. Quality improvement is planned:

  • by expanding the scope of trained health professionals for mosquito surveillance and sampling methods for MBD detection to North-Bačka District and Vukovar-Srijem County, which border MOS-Cross area and face the same challenges, thus creating synergies and broadening the scope of existing networks and services,
  • by organizing an international scientific conference to raise awareness and provide specific knowledge to relevant CB stakeholders,
  • by purchasing equipment for mosquito surveillance and laboratory equipment,
  • by disseminating the jointly developed protocols, recommendations to increase their application to new geographic areas and new target groups with special focus on children and elderly population.

PA2
Project GReENERGY 2.0 will further use and capitalize results and outputs of previous project (GReENERGY) by adding new capacities of renewable energy production in Programme area and contributing to carbon-zero concept in cities and increasing the awareness of local population in the cross-border area and beyond. Project GReENERGY 2.0 project contributes to Programme Output Indicator “Additional capacity of renewable energy production (MW)” by installing additional solar energy plant (0.15 MW) in Osijek and by improving the energy efficiency of public building with the installation of green wall in Novi Sad.

Project BIOSOL + focuses on the maximised use of PV solar generated energy of 0,2MW for together additional 9 public buildings, substantially co-financed by City of Šabac city of Nova Gradiška.

Project BIOSOL + represents a continuation of Project BIOSOL, upon which it capitalises by increasing its RE capacity by +/-20%.

The project will also promote e-mobility through public availability and use of e-bikes. Promotional materials will be distributed during the targeted and public events.

PA3
PannEx Reload project will further capitalize developed outputs under the Pannonia Gourmet project contracted under 2nd Call for project proposals with the aim of better positioning cross-border area as an authentic gastro-tourism destination. Four new digital tools will be developed and will help cross border area to better promote its gourmet offer and to improve position of the local key stakeholders on the market: augmented Reality application, Online multi-vendor e-shop, Educational cooking platform and Augmented reality content platform.

PA4
Project UPDATE brings together a dynamic consortium of partners, who have a successful history of cooperation on the XBIT project. The project aims to improve competitiveness in the programme area by strengthening cooperation between business support institutions, clusters, education and research organizations, and entrepreneurs.

The UPDATE project is a significant initiative that aims to promote the uptake of innovative technologies and support the development of new products and services in the programme area. The partnership brings together a wealth of experience and expertise and is well-positioned to deliver meaningful results that will benefit the local economy and society.

Project SASFRU will capitalize achievements of the project CROSS TREE. Project aim is to raise resilience, cut back costs and increase competitiveness of the fruit growing sector through introduction of smart agriculture solutions (automation, mechanisation and digitalization). The modernization of agriculture is rapidly going into direction of information technology (IT) and digital solutions. These new tools are often expensive and not proven in professional agriculture, especially fruit growing.

Further strengthening of existing water laboratory with additional equipment will widen possibilities for knowledge transfer, expand collaboration synergies and offer new specialised services to the entrepreneurs.
