Within the GReENERGY 2.0 project two open-door events were organized on 24 and 25October in Novi Sad (Serbia) and Osijek (Croatia) in order to present green solutions that were implemented in both cities.
At the University of Novi Sad at the Faculty of Sciences an indoor green wall was installed on 70 m2 area in the hall of the Faculty. Wall is made of Icelandic moss which contributes to the aesthetics of the corridor, regulates the microclimate and reduces noise, products and oxygen. The results and benefits of the wall are already visible, and participants of the event had the opportunity to get more information about nature-based solution concept.
In Osijek, three new solar power plants installed within the project. Solar power plants were installed on Kulturni Centar, Dvorana Jug II and Latica kindergarten. Total power of these solar power plants is 210 kW. Participants of the open-door event had opportunity to see all locations with solar power plants and also be informed more about renewable energy and energy efficiency concepts.
