The Joint Monitoring Committee met on 24 October 2019 in Belgrade, Serbia to present the Final Evaluation Report of the Programme and share updates on Programme implementation.
In order to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of Programme implementation, evaluation is carried out by independent evaluators. The aim of the evaluation is to assess how support from the funds has contributed to objectives of each Programme Priority Axis. The evaluation findings will serve as a tool for improving the quality of future Programme implementation, and as one of the bases for planning future policies for the development of the Interreg IPA Programme in the coming financial period.
The Final Evaluation Report was presented by François Levarlet, key evaluator, which reflected on how the Programme and Programme communication strategy were being implemented. The evaluation was carried out by referring to four main data sources: desk review of all Programme documents, web-survey, set of interviews with representatives of Programme’s structures and case-study analysis. The Joint Monitoring Committee, represented by local, regional and national representatives of both participating countries, adopted the Final Evaluation Report.
Information about the Programme implementation were also presented at the meeting. Until October 2019, 17 projects have been contracted and started implementation. A total of 16.409.420,29 EUR were contracted, out of which 13.948.007,25 EUR are ERDF and IPA II funds.
