About

The FILMharmonia project tackles the challenge of undiversified tourism offer in the cross-border area, lack of innovative cultural products and lack of specialized skills needed to develop cultural products, as well as the small number of high quality artistic performances. The main objective of FILMharmonia is to strengthen and diversify the tourism offer by developing a new cultural tourism product: the FILMharmonic program. Partners from Zagreb and Novi Sad plan to combine screenings of mute films with live orchestra performances in a number of events across the Programme area, bring new experiences to the local community and capture new audiences with the idea of integrating cinematic and music arts. Additionally, partners will deploy training programs for cultural and tourism actors of the Programme area and provide new opportunities for long-term development of cultural tourism.

Partners

Zagreb Philharmonic (CRO), as the project’s lead partner, will provide a repertoire of jointly chosen films and music and present it to the public during 4 events in 4 different locations in Croatia and Serbia. These events include screenings of mute films and live orchestra performance. Also, the Lead partner will organize a workshop in Croatia focusing on the development of cultural projects and its implementation in cultural institutions.

Association Music Youth of Novi Sad (SER) will develop the repertoire of the Philharmonic in the movie program, engage professional musicians that will perform together with the Zagreb Philharmonic’s orchestra and provide logistic support during the two events organized in Serbia. In addition, the partner will organize two training workshops about project design.
