Operation purpose and expected achievements:
The main goal of the project is to improve the effectiveness of health care for the elderly and infirm population in the cross-border area through the modernization of medical services and infrastructure in special hospitals in Novi Sad, Apatin and Lipik through the dissemination of knowledge and experience in the field of diagnostics, treatment and rehabilitation, as well as the promotion of health care models in the family and community, healthy aging and disease prevention.
Partner hospitals will conduct a pilot activity with innovative rehabilitation methods – DNS and Schroth, which will improve care for patients and for their health of the musculoskeletal system. The application of these methods will result in improved methodological protocols that represent a common solution and that will be upgraded and improved by applying new rehabilitation methods, acquiring new modern equipment and comprehensive comparative analysis. The second pilot action in the project will be mobile teams that will be formed as specialized groups within partner hospitals that will consist of physiotherapists and other medical personnel. Mobile teams will direct patients to the newly established multimedia healthcare platform, ensuring ongoing support. The multimedia health internet platform will emerge from the project as a jointly developed solution from the implemented pilot activities. The platform will offer a series of rehabilitation exercises, video instructions, customized programs and educational content. As joint training programs within the project, educations for DNS and Schroth methods will be organized, which will improve the expertise of the staff of the partner hospitals through several sessions held in both countries. The result of this pilot action will be 25 educated employees on these advanced rehabilitation techniques. Another result that will emerge from the project activities is the improved methodological protocols of the partner institutions developed during the pilot activities. These refined protocols are intended for continuous use and further development by partner institutions. Hospitals plan to incorporate these protocols into their ongoing work, as well as in their work with students, ensuring their integration into future training and practice.
Beneficiaries:
Special hospital for rheumatic diseases Novi Sad (RS) as Lead Partner will be responsible for the overall management, coordination and oversight of the timing sequence of the project activities and quality project implementation. Lead Partner will ensure efficient and regular communication with other project partners to ensure alignment and transparency in project activities. Additionally, Lead Partner will be responsible for timely and transparent financial management of the project, carefully monitoring the expenditure in line with the overall project budget. As the leading project partner, Special hospital for rheumatic diseases Novi Sad will take the responsibility for communication with the relevant authority and regular reporting on the progress, achievements and financial status of the project and, in collaboration with project partners, has an ambitious goal of improving efficiency of healthcare for elderly and disabled population in the cross-border area by promoting family and community-based healthcare model, healthy aging and disease prevention, which can also be considered a pilot project.
Toplice Lipik – Special hospital for medical rehabilitation (HR) as Project Partner will embody a spirit of collaborative endeavor and specialized expertise. As a strategic partner, the hospital is dedicated to synergizing its proficiency with the project’s objectives. It contributes to the project’s success by leveraging its deep-rooted experience in medical rehabilitation, particularly focusing on enhancing treatment methodologies and patient care. The hospital actively engages in the implementation of innovative healthcare approaches, enriching the project’s impact on the targeted population and it plays an instrumental role in refining protocols, fostering best practices and ensuring the integration of cutting-edge technologies for optimized rehabilitation.
Special Hospital for Rehabilitation “JUNAKOVIĆ” Apatin (RS) as Project Partner leverage its extensive background in delivering specialized rehabilitation services and enhancing healthcare standards for the elderly and disabled population within the region. Additionally, the hospital undertakes specific responsibilities, such as overseeing the reconstruction of the hydrotherapy block—an essential component of the rehabilitation process. Through its diverse range of contributions, the hospital enhances the project’s overall impact, reaffirming its commitment to advocating for healthy aging and disease prevention among the elderly and disabled population in the cross-border region.
PANORA – Development Agency of Požega Slavonia County (HR) as Project Partner will encompass the diligent supervision and facilitation of project activities. Operating as a technical support to the central project management entity (LP), PANORA undertakes an additional responsibility in terms of procurement procedures for promotional activities, event organization services, training service for DNS rehabilitation method as well as contracting for the development of the healthcare web portal. Furthermore, it assumes the pivotal role of driving a wide spectrum of project promotional activities. This entails the strategic development of influential promotional resources, the publication of informative content, organization of all the engaging events and the proactive advancement of initiatives focused on promoting healthy living and disease prevention.
