Operation purpose and expected achievements:
The projects aim to foster innovation in dairy production by pilot implementation of new technology/lyophilisation, as well as finding solutions for other industry issues as packaging and piloting cooperation in production of new premium health food in order to open international markets. MILKYWAY will promote networking between 2 clusters, support SMEs. Additionally, clusters will encourage cross-sector partnerships contributing to regional development, job creation, and industry excellence.

The role of Vojvodina Chamber of Commerce (RS) as Lead Partner in collaboration and coordination with the partner Osijek-Baranja County is establishment of a cluster in Vojvodina and cluster coordination with the assistance of the project partner, planning and implementation of new technology (freeze-drying in the Vojvodina region, packaging, maturation, and technology for aged cheeses in the Osijek-Baranja County region), organizing regular working meetings of the cluster during and after the project, collaboration with the sister cluster from Croatia, organizing expert assistance in the field of new technologies in dairy production, sales, and foreign market standards, as well as fostering strong relations between universities and industry, procurement, installation, and trial operation of a mini freeze-drying plant, pilot production and testing, dissemination and advocacy for the interests of small milk and cheese producers with institutions, at professional events, based on lessons learned from the project and continuing collaboration with Osijek-Baranja County in this and other fields, building a lasting partnership in areas of common interest.
Osijek-Baranja County (HR) as Project Partner will be in charge of securing funding and allocating resources for the implementation of its project activities, collaborating with the LP in conducting those activities, ensuring open communication with the LP, providing the necessary support and obtaining permits and approvals for project activities when necessary. Osijek-Baranja County is also to monitor, collect and analyze data to assess project performance, ensure the proper allocation of funds and collaborate with the LP to ensure financial transparency.
