The EU Strategy for the Danube Region covers 14 countries of the Danube River basin. The Strategy within the Cohesion Policy through European Territorial Cooperation provides support for transnational cooperation of all countries of the Strategy with the aim of improving regional development policies and better cooperation and coordination between the participating countries.
With the establishment of the Danube Youth Council, the Strategy decided to provide a platform for the institutional involvement of young people in all its bodies to make young people’s ideas and views heard and become clearer at the political level and also to give young people the opportunity to strengthen their influence role the policy of the Strategy.
The call for membership in the Danube Youth Council is open from 9 May to 15 August 2022. We invite all interested young people (18-29 years old) to apply and participate in policy-making of the Strategy and thus the daily life of their region.
