The Priority axis 2 ES GEES project held its final\nconference and presented accomplishments in Novi Sad on 13 December. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

ES GEES<\/a>,\nshortened for Education for\nSustainability – Green and Energy Efficient Schools,<\/em> is dedicated to\nfinding the right approach in implementing energy efficient measures and\ncombining them with renewable energy sources. In the past 30 months, partners contributed\nto reconstruction of two schools in Osijek and Novi Sad and organized a\ncampaign that informed Croatia and Serbia\u2019s cross-border community about\nrenewable energy sources. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In particular, partners\nraised the energy efficiency of two public schools by installing a photovoltaic\npower plant in the elementary school Ljudevit Gaj in Osijek, allowing the\nschool to produce clean energy and generate savings. In Novi Sad\u2019s Technical\nschool \u201cMileva Maric-Einstein\u201d partners installed a pellet heating system,\nwhich will heat the school greenhouse and also showcase principles of circular\neconomy to students. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Partners of ES\nGEES made students aware of advantages of using renewable energy sources in the\nmost practical way. By reconstructing two schools, ES GEES ensured that their achievements\nremain visible for generations of students to see. The final conference, held\nin the Technical school \u201cMileva Maric- Einstein\u201d, was a chance to reflect on\ntheir story. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
