{"id":3946,"date":"2019-12-03T13:19:51","date_gmt":"2019-12-03T12:19:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/interreg-croatia-serbia.eu\/2014\/?post_type=novost&#038;p=3946"},"modified":"2019-12-03T14:07:13","modified_gmt":"2019-12-03T13:07:13","slug":"european-cooperation-day-in-vukovar","status":"publish","type":"novost","link":"https:\/\/interreg-croatia-serbia.eu\/2014\/novost\/european-cooperation-day-in-vukovar\/","title":{"rendered":"European Cooperation Day in Vukovar"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>After our EC Day\nvideo competition ended in June, the Programme representatives visited the\nTechnical School Nikola Tesla in Vukovar on 29 November to award their students\nfor making the winning video. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s European Cooperation Day was\ncelebrated in a different way. With the theme <strong>Europe is you<\/strong>, the Programme organized a video competition to see\nwhat the EU has done for citizens of Croatian and Serbian border regions. We\nwanted to hear citizens\u2019 thoughts and feelings of being part of the EU and how\nEU benefits the local community. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the videos that entered the\ncompetition, we received a video made by a team of students of the Nikola Tesla\nTechnical School in Vukovar. The video tells a story of a school from Vukovar\nin a creative and original way and points out to the importance of the European\nUnion in supporting education, as well as democratic values. For this reason, the\nvideo was awarded as the winning one. See the video below. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"European Cooperation Day 2019 winning video\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/DfXbBNzJgu8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Programme representatives visited the\nschool in Vukovar and thanked the students for recognizing our EC Day video\ncompetition as an opportunity to share their experiences about the EU. Lavoslav Ru\u017ei\u010dka\nwas a Croatian Nobel Prize winner awarded for chemistry in 1939. Today, the\nhouse hosts educational and cultural events and was recently modernized with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=WKcZ7rsGokc&amp;feature=emb_title\">a hologram of Lavoslav Ru\u017ei\u010dka<\/a> installed as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/interreg-croatia-serbia.eu\/2014\/project\/victour\/\">ViCTour<\/a> project. During the visit, students\nwatched the hologram and took part in experiments.
