The strategic project ADAPTVITIS, with a total value of EUR 2.1 million, is implemented in a joint partnership between the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences in Osijek and the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad. The goal of this project is to improve the adaptation of viticulture to climate change through the valorization and implementation of adaptable grapevine genotypes.

The ADAPTVitis project represents a step forward in preserving the wine-growing tradition of Eastern continental Croatia, as well as directly confronting the challenges imposed on us by increasingly obvious climate changes. Research, valorization and implementation of adaptable grapevine genotypes will enable local winegrowers to better adapt to new elementary conditions.

Through innovation and joint cooperation of faculties from Osijek and Novi Sad, the goal is to promote the sustainability of viticulture and, in accordance with the latest research and technological achievements, contribute to raising the quality of wine production and the quality of life of people in the region.
